Why greaseproof matters

Anything hot and oily will bleed through an ordinary paper bag. A greaseproof bag holds the oil in, so a samosa or a portion of fries still looks presentable by the time it reaches the customer — and the bag does not go translucent and limp on a grab-and-go shelf.
