Nikita | Bay Leaves (Tej Patta) | 2 lb
SKU: 350390
Infuse your dishes with the subtle, earthy aroma of Nikita Bay Leaves. These premium, sun-dried leaves are an essential foundation for long-simmered dishes, providing a delicate herbal fragrance that balances heavy spices and rich fats.
This 2 Lbs bulk pack is a massive volume of leaves—perfect for commercial kitchens, catering services, or home cooks who prepare large batches of rice, stews, and stocks.
Product Features
- Aromatic Foundation: Releases a complex, tea-like aroma when simmered, adding an essential layer of flavor to soups, broths, and sauces.
- Premium Dried Quality: Carefully selected whole leaves with minimal breakage, ensuring the aromatic oils remain trapped inside until you're ready to cook.
- Wholesale 2 Lbs Volume: Given how light bay leaves are, this 2 Lbs bag offers an extraordinary quantity, making it the most economical choice for high-volume users.
- Versatile Culinary Staple: A core ingredient in Biryani, Pulao, Garam Masala blends, and European-style "Bouquet Garni."
- 100% Natural: Pure, dried bay leaves with no additives or preservatives.
Professional Kitchen Tips
- Temper First: For Indian cuisine, add the leaves to hot oil or ghee at the start of cooking to "bloom" the flavor.
- Slow Simmer: In western cooking, add to stocks or tomato sauces early; the longer they simmer, the more depth they provide.
- The "Whole" Rule: To keep the flavor profile clean, always remove the whole leaf before serving.
Materials & Care (Storage)
- Large-Volume Storage: Because this 2 Lbs bag is physically large, we recommend transferring the leaves into a large, airtight plastic or glass container.
- Protect from Light: Store in a dark, cool pantry. Sunlight will cause the leaves to turn brown and lose their herbal potency.
Delivery: Greater Moncton within 2 business days; elsewhere on the next scheduled delivery.
